What do you do to make your seat more comfortable?

Dammit, the seats in the 3rd gen Honda CR-V are terrible. Just awful.

Short of modifying some salvaged Merc S-Class thrones, what do you all do to improve general comfort? I had a foam lumbar support for a while but it was cheap and after a couple of years sort of disintegrated in the Texas heat.

Something like this? Damned expensive...

If you’re talking backache issues from not enough lumbar, most Ford seats give me that.

I just chuck anything available behind me. Usually a water bottle.

Come to think of it, I don’t believe I’ve ever been in a Honda with good seats. It’s almost like they’re deliberately terrible to keep from the rest of the car from putting you to sleep while driving.

I added a heated seat kit I got on Amazon ( full review here ). For $50 it’s a great addition, but be careful of lousy wiring. I had to completely rebuild one of the wiring harnesses myself to make it work, and I’ll probably rebuild the other one someday because there’s still a loose connection. But they’re nice and toasty, which is wonderful in a car that doesn’t warm up quickly.

I swapped them for seats from a different Honda, because Honda’s are like legos

Accord seat swap? They’re so comfy!! If your seats are anything like the felt covered cardboard atrocities in my parents’ new civics, I know exactly what you’re talking about. They’re appalling.
